The Story Behind Restrike
Restrike was founded by Steven Tibbs, a developer with a unique background that bridges two worlds: over 20 years of hands-on experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, combined with deep expertise in modern software development.
Steven started coding at age 13, building games and tools in C++. What began as a childhood passion evolved into a career spanning multiple disciplines. Before transitioning to full-time software development, he ran Sacramento's top-ranked SEO drafting company for over 14 years, gaining firsthand insight into the real challenges professionals face daily.
Today, Steven serves as CEO of both PlanCheckSolver.com and Certified24.com, building AI-powered solutions that transform how AEC professionals work. He leads development on all Restrike products, having built over 40 applications ranging from web platforms to desktop software, with hundreds of AI agents deployed in production systems.
As an Autodesk Development Partner, Steven works at the intersection of established industry tools and cutting-edge technology. He's a Google DeepMind and Cognition Labs tester, collaborating regularly with Google DeepMind experts on advanced computer vision solutions.
His specialization in computer vision includes fine-tuning machine learning models, training custom systems on Vertex AI, and implementing ML solutions in production environments. Steven has directed AI/ML teams and oversees lead development on every project, from initial concept to final deployment.
Steve resides in Illinois with his family, and is always staying busy with the next fun project. The goal is to always provide value.
